Space Wolf Research and Artists
Mech, L. David
L. David Mech is a Senior Research Scientist for the USGS’s Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center. He has also worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota’s Raptor Center. His research interests include wolves and other wildlife. Mech is a wolf expert who has worked as a scientist and educator for more than 40 years.
Mech’s extensive knowledge of wolves has led to his renown as one of the world’s foremost authorities on wolves. As a founding member of the International Wolf Center, he has published ten books and hundreds of scientific articles. He has also authored more than 100 articles for the popular press. In his role as a conservationist, he has helped to raise awareness about wolves and their habitat.
The International Wolf Center is currently accepting applications for its 2023 Dr. L. David Mech Fellowships. These fellowships are an investment in the future of science-based wolf education and research. Each recipient will receive a $6,000 stipend and support for field research expenses. The fellowships are intended to reduce barriers to research and serve as bridge support for early career researchers before they complete graduate studies.
Goyal, Sagar M.
Goyal, Sagar M. is a professor and chair of the Department of Veterinary Diagnostic Medicine at the University of Minnesota. His research interests include virology and rotavirus. He is also an expert on the diagnosis of chronic wasting disease in livestock. He is one of the most influential researchers in this area of study.
His research focuses on the role of environmental factors in the development of antibiotic resistance in food animals. He has also studied how the antibiotics in foods influence the antibiotic resistance profile of these animals. His studies have led to a number of recommendations for preventing antibiotic resistance. He has also published several journal articles in this area. He has received several awards and honors for his work. He is a member of the Soil Science Society of America.

The young artist, E. K. Harper, has a diverse body of work addressing issues of women’s health and reproductive rights. Her oil paintings present normal reality in a satiric context and often include terse poetic statements. Her work has gained prominence in recent years and she recently exhibited new works from 1987.
