3 Careers That You Can Start Quickly

If you are undecided as to what to do for a career, that is alright. Not everyone knows what they want to do for the rest of their lives, no matter how old they might be. However, the bills still need to get paid, and starting a career usually takes a long time. Consider the following three careers that you can start quickly.

Being a Medical Assistant

While there is a lot of education required to work in the medical field, it is far easier to become an assistant first. There are a lot of people who have found work after going through the fastest medical assistant program possible. This program lasts six weeks, and it is all online. Keep in mind that there are only certain fields that will take assistants from this program, and that your duties are going to be varied and taxing. You will also not be in the field all of the time. You will also be expected to perform administrative duties such as answering the phone and updating patient records.

Becoming a First Responder

First responders include police officers, firefighters and EMTs, or Emergency Medical Technicians. Such respected professions are very demanding, but very rewarding, especially when you can say that you helped save a life. To become a first responder, you can be fully ready in as soon as six months, as long as you meet all of the requirements and expectations before and during training. These professions are not for the faint of heart, but they are somewhat flexible in their training. If you do not have to dedicate all of your time to your training, you might be able to train when you are not working your current job, then switch over to being a full-time first responder when you have completed training.

Massage Therapist

Being a massage therapist is a highly coveted position, especially with the relaxed environment and the knowledge that you are helping clients de-stress after a very long day at work or helping them to feel like their best selves. However, there are things that you must do before you can apply to be a massage therapist. You will need to complete an accredited massage therapy program, complete at least 300 hours of massage therapy and pass a special exam. While it sounds like a lot, it is another rewarding career that allows you to help your clients with pain, stress and relaxation.

While there are a lot of careers that you can start relatively quickly, most of them take at least two months and can last as long as two years before you can even start working in that career on your own. You will most likely need a job on the side so you can support yourself while you are completing your training. Just remember that the job you currently have will not last forever, and if you find yourself bored with the training, you can always pursue something else. Keep these career suggestions in mind and think about what career would make you happy before you start applying to different programs.
