Before installing your Traveller winch, there are some essential steps you should take. These will guarantee your winch is secure and functional.
Installing the Winch:
First, take off your vehicle’s front bumper. Doing so will allow you to access brackets on your winch easily. Secondly, undo four bolts holding it in place.
Once all bolts have been taken off, it’s time to install your traveller winch on your vehicle. To do this, simply follow these steps:
1. Align the winch with brackets on your vehicle – This is the initial step. 2. Attach the winch to its mounting plate
2. Next, attach the traveler winch to its bracket using four bolts you removed earlier.
3. Align the winch with the mounting points on your vehicle’s rear bumper.
4. Connect the wiring harness to the motor run stud of your winch.
5. If your winch has a wireless remote, make sure the wires from the receiver are connected to the wired receiver on the winch. This will ensure proper operation of both components.
6. If you have a wired remote, plug the black and red wires of your winch into the solenoids.
7. Connect each function select wire to a motor run stud. This way, when one solenoid valve is energized, the motor will run without getting back fed energy that could affect another solenoid.

13. Always utilize double-line rigging and the appropriate equipment for the job.
14. Avoid operating the winch at extreme angles.
