IUMRS – MRS Young Researcher Awards
The IUMRS – MRS Singapore Young Researcher Awards recognize young researchers who have demonstrated outstanding promise in their scientific pursuits. This year’s recipient, Laura Na Liu, is recognized for her work at the interface of nanoplasmonics, biology and chemistry. Her work focuses on building functional nanosystems and investigating questions of catalysis in local environments.
The IUMRS-MRS Singapore Young Researcher Awards was established in 2012. They award a cash prize of S$5,000, a trophy and a certificate to the recipient. These awards recognize outstanding and innovative research in various fields, and the rationale behind the selection process is based on the outstanding innovation and quality of the recipients’ work. The award has been awarded to more than fifty researchers.
