It allowed scholars to explore the history and translate other cuneiform tablet.

The tablet’s central portion is surrounded by a circular waterway called “Salt-Sea”. The outer rim of the salt sea has eight regions. The cuneiform text is, however, incomplete. It does however describe mythical creatures as well as great heroes. The shapes of the regions are reminiscent of triangles, which represent water when approached. This tablet’s text is one of the most important and oldest cuneiform tablets, dating back to around 1400 B.C.E.
