Rockin America Top 30 Countdown

WLKM-FM – Rockin’ America Top 30 Countdown

WLKM-FM, licensed to Three Rivers, Michigan, is a radio station with an adult contemporary format. In June 2012, the station switched from a classic hits format to an adult contemporary one. The switch was the result of the discontinuation of the Dial Global Classic Hits format by Westwood One. Previously, WLKM-FM aired top 40 music and was an affiliate of the Rockin’ America Top 30 Countdown.

In the mid-90s, the program was renamed to The All Request Top 30 Countdown, a name that reflected the fact that the list was based on requests from listeners across the country. The program was a recurring series, which ran through 1990.

The Church formed in 1980 and released the single “Too Fast For You” in early 1981. The single is still worth a few hundred dollars, but the group’s second hit “Under the Milky Way” has a much higher value and has climbed up to number 25 on Rockin America Top 30.

The Westwood One Top 30 is a weekly radio show that features the best thirty songs of the week. The program is distributed to subscribed radio stations in the USA. Scott Shannon hosts the show. He was a radio personality on WHTZ 100.3, Z-100 in NYC, from 1983 to 1989. Shannon is currently a host on the True Oldies Channel satellite radio.
