The People’s Festival is held every summer in Wilmington, Delaware. This festival celebrates the one love that unites us all. With music, art, food, and fun, the festival brings world beat music and international cuisine to Wilmington. In the past, big names have played at the festival, including Bob Marley. Guests must remember to respect other guests and employees. If they violate any of the rules, they will be removed from the event.

The event features music from a variety of genres and ethnicities, such as Caribbean, Latin, and American. It also includes a beer garden, a children’s village, and a healing garden. The festival takes place at Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park.

There are several festivals and events that take place in Wilmington during the year. One of them is the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival. Another festival is the Brandywine Arts Festival. All of these festivals feature a variety of arts and crafts from different cultures. You can find a variety of museums in Wilmington, which include the Delaware Art Museum.

The Wilmington Flower Market is another festival that is held during the spring. The festival is free and will be back in full bloom after the cancellations for COVID-19.

Bob Marley was born in Wilmington. He made his first American home in the city, and his second son was born there as well. During the 1970s, Marley worked at DuPont and Chrysler. Eventually, he and his family moved to Miami. His only friend in Wilmington was Ibis Godfrey Pitts. They became lifelong friends.

As of 2017, the population in Wilmington is estimated to be around 24,700 people. Approximately 11.6% of the population is over 65, and 10.0% is under 18. For the age range of 25 to 44, the median age is 33 years.

One of the largest festivals in Wilmington is the Riverfest, which takes place in October. It is free and showcases the Cape Fear River. The festival runs along Front Street between Chestnut and Orange Streets.
