Outdoor Research Alpine Bivy

The New GORE-TEX Alpine Bivy From Outdoor Research

The new GORE-TEX Alpine Bivy from Outdoor Research has a 37% lighter weight than its predecessor. With its water-proof performance, it’s the perfect choice for solo alpine winter activities. Its shell-shaped design allows for freedom of breathing, and a single rod creates overhead space to help reduce the feeling of claustrophobia.

Its design is also extremely versatile. It can be set up just about anywhere – even on the edge of a tree! Its lightweight construction allows you to set it up quickly and easily. And the OR Alpine Bivy weighs less than a hammock or tent. It also provides protection from bugs and blowing rain.

One of the most important features of an Alpine Bivy is its ventilation system. A ventilation system improves airflow inside the bivy and helps you stay comfortable at night. The bivy also comes with a mesh internal pocket and straps for securing the sleeping pad. It also has five stake loops and a loop for a guy line. An optional delrin pole makes a great choice if you’re looking for extra headspace, but you can leave it at home if you don’t need it.

Another feature is that it’s made of waterproof Gore-Tex material. This material prevents condensation, so your bivy will be dry even if it’s very cold outside. It also has a bolstered floor, which provides extra comfort. The waterproof material is backed by TPU lamination, and it’s fully seam-taped.

Another bivy from Outdoor Research is the Interstellar Bivy, which is a 4-season waterproof/breathable bivy. It weighs 23 oz when fully packed. It offers ample head and torso space and is less expensive than many one-person tents.

This bivy features an adjustable side flap for easy access, and is spacious enough to fit most standard-sized sleeping bags. It also comes with a single pole and is compatible with standard sleeping pads. Another notable feature of the OR Alpine bivy is its integrated delrin pole for added headroom. The pole also helps keep the waterproof hood from falling down. The bivy is also designed to keep mosquitoes away.

Another plus of the OR Helium bivy is that it’s easy to set up. Its collapsible pole allows it to be set up in less than a minute. This is a very helpful feature when you’re short on time. This bivy also features a ground sheet.

The AscentShell bivy also comes with an upper zip that can be fully zipped up. There’s also a zipper for the arms. The arm zips can be zipped down on the sides of the bivy, making it a versatile sleeping system.
