Naruto Time Travel Fanfic

A Naruto Time Travel Fanfic

Three years after the Fourth Shinobi World War, Kaguya’s clansmen arrive to finish their work. The entire shinobi world is in chaos, and no one knows what will happen next. But Sixth Hokage Kakashi Hatake knows that the time has come to do something about it. He sends his Team 7 back in time, hoping to buy enough time to stop the war before it reaches its inevitable conclusion.

The only problem is that when you’re stuck in time, all the rules don’t apply to you. And the only thing that really matters is what you want to do with it.

Ignoring the fact that he’s a de-aged, sandal-less Kakashi who just wants to adopt Orochimaru at their first meeting and give Sakumo endless cuddles, he decides that this is what’s going to get him out of the hole. So he fucks the rules of time travel and tries to be Godlike!

But this isn’t exactly a recipe for a successful plot. He ends up sabotaging himself, causing himself more trouble than he could have ever imagined. He’s forced to take on roles he doesn’t necessarily want, and he has to fight the fear of his own PTSD.

And of course he’s also forced to deal with the aftermath of the Kyuubi Attack, which leaves him feeling like the most useless Hokage in history. His only hope is to become a better person and help others.

In other words, he’s determined to do whatever it takes to save everyone! But will he be able to?

Besides, will the time travel he’s planning allow him to see his future wife? Is he willing to do that even if it means sacrificing his future?

A great, if short, fic from tomorrowsrain.

It’s a pretty big AU, and it follows all three factions that were involved in the Uchiha’s Coup. There’s Itachi and Sasuke on the run, Jiraiya rescued clan heirs, and Naruto loyally serving his former master.

I liked how the author incorporated all three of these factions into the same storyline, while still retaining their unique character traits. It was a little jarring to start, but I eventually got used to it and appreciated how well the fic handled the realism of a group that didn’t have a leader at the beginning, but that is now one.

A very strong fic, which I think has the potential to go much further if it had a longer runtime and more of a focus on character development. The worldbuilding is excellent, and it has a smooth pacing.

The author did a great job of incorporating all the elements into one story, and it had a good pacing, though I felt like there was too much of an overall story arc for it to be very satisfying. The author did a great job of making the characters feel realistic and real, especially Naruto.

It’s a great AU, and it has the potential to go much further if the author had a longer runtime and more of an emphasis on character development. The worldbuilding is excellent, as it explains how the Hidden Leaf was formed, but it’s a bit jarring to start, and I felt like there was too much of an overarching story arc for it to be very satisfying.
