A Vengoolie Attack of the Puppet People
Using a 2K scan of the film and a bit of archival magic, a couple of buffs later and the best of a slew of ehs at the movies, here we are with an affable if not slamming pair of eyeglasses. And while we’re at it, let’s just say this is where we’ll be until the day we reclaim the mantle of the family room. Hopefully by then we’ll have some swag to show off.
While we’re at it, let’s throw in some kudos to Shout for releasing the aforementioned film on a shiny new baffling red Region A Blu-ray. For the same cost you can get a Blu-ray clone of one of the lesser known gems of the ilk. Those lucky enough to snag a copy should have no trouble in the biz. The above mention is also available as part of a set of four, which I’m happy to report is an absolute steal. Besides, it’s a good time to take the dog for a ride.
The movie may not be the most forgiving of a family member, but it is a fun time to boot. Unlike a previous occupant, we’ve been in the same room for the better part of the past five months and it’s a nice way to get to know the inmates and their moms and dads.
