Little People Marvel: E.T. the Extraterrestrial Collector’s Set
Little People are a line of toys conceived and manufactured by Fisher-Price, Inc., in the 1960s. Designed for children from ages six months to three years old, they feature smiley faces, a plethora of vehicles and other useful and amusing accessories. During the late 90s, the company was sold to Mattel. As such, it is not surprising that the brand has been on a hot streak with its new line of collector’s sets.
The company has licensed with Marvel, Disney, RuPaul, Ted Lasso, and DC Comics. This has led to a slew of interesting and innovative products. In 2007, Fisher-Price released the Little People A to Z learning zoo. Featuring 26 animals, the little zoo teaches kids about animal facts while helping them to learn their alphabetical order.
The Little People aficionados will also be delighted to know that the company has produced more than one collectible toy. Amongst their illustrious list of credits are a number of licensed properties, which include Marvel and DC Comics, as well as Star Wars and Marvel Avengers. Other notable titles include a number of other brands. These include the Cabbage Patch Kids, the Fabled Flying Horse, and the wildly popular Little Tikes.
While there has been no shortage of new and reissued toys, the Little People brand has garnered particular attention due to their impressively large number of licenses. They’ve been given the starring role in a variety of branded products, such as toys, books, and apparel. Some of these products have been released on the consumer market and others have been repurposed for the educational marketplace. Most recently, Fisher-Price has released the Little People Marvel: E.T. the Extraterrestrial, a collectable set of figurines that celebrates the movie’s 40th anniversary. With its eye-catching packaging and unique design, it’s no wonder the set is already a best-seller.
What’s more, the little people aficionados will not be disappointed with the quality of the products. Each Little People set is based on its famous characters and features the aforementioned E.T. the Extraterrestrial figurine, two cars, and the playset-related gizmo aficionados can be proud of. One of the most exciting features of the series is its ability to provide electronic sound to the toys.
It’s no surprise that the Little People brand has become the best-selling toy line of its kind. Their products are marketed at various age groups, from infants to preteens, and the company has been producing them for many years. They have even spawned a number of spinoff brands. For example, a number of the company’s licensed brands feature a version of the Play Family dollhouse, which was introduced in 1969. Also noteworthy is that the company has been licensed with various other toy companies over the years, including Hasbro, Disney, and Fisher-Price.
Not to be outdone, the company has been producing the Little People A to Z learning zoo, a wildly popular set of figures and playsets promoting animal facts and the alphabet. As a result, it has been named the best toy of all time by ToyAssoc.
